Academic Impressions – Web Strategist

Located in the Tech Center in Denver, Colorado, Academic Impressions is an organization that exclusively serves higher education professionals. Our aim is to provide a variety of educational products and services that help people working in higher education tackle key, strategic challenges. Through focused and intentionally crafted learning experiences, we help people working in higher education address their most pressing challenges.

The Web Strategist is a key member of our Marketing Team, providing development, maintenance and strategy around web-based communication.  Graphic design is also a part of the position, providing additional support to our events through brochures, signs and other graphics.  This is a regular full-time, exempt position with regular weekday hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development and maintenance of AI’s public-facing website
  • Strategizes with senior management and marketing team to create user experiences that maximize sales conversion
  • Reviews how the website aligns with objective sand what customers think of the website
  • Optimizes site performance for search engine capacity (SEO)
  • Supports initiatives in social networking, web communities and other social media marketing and web technology channels
  • Monitors website visitor data (Google Analytics)and makes changes to the site structure and content as necessary
  • Designs and builds HTML email templates and other customized web-based applications
  • Manages the visual brand of AI including the design of all .pdf event brochures, PPT templates, on-site materials and display, CDs, and other customer-facing material
  • Obtains/purchases artwork, illustrations, photography, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in web design and interactive marketing.  Advanced knowledge of SEO.
  • Understanding of information architecture, with demonstrated ability to apply concepts to daily work.
  • Strong understanding of social networking and social media marketing
  • Ability to work on a PC platform with expert proficiency in CS Suite
  • Experience in establishing and tracking website analytics and social media metrics
